Yes it’s true, I waited a whole year after when I’m supposed to take him for his first visit. But this was only on the advice of our family dentist. (actually my dentist, not Cory’s-his dentist is the Devil) So I mentioned to my dentist a year ago that my two-year-old was ready to come for his first visit, and he goes, “...just wait a year, it is really easier on everyone, and it is going to do no harm at all...”
So we waited, and I scheduled his first visit a few weeks ago when I had to go myself.
Coincidentally, the day before his visit, The Tooth Fairy came to visit him at preschool. Apparently some enterprising local dentist came and visited them, taught them all about their teeth, and brushing, and he was totally ready for his first visit. Very lucky I must say. Plus free toothpaste and floss is always cool.
So the next day we arrived at the office and he immediately charmed the receptionist and the dental assistant, they both assured me he was going to be a lady-killer. So nice for me to think about that, let me tell you.
Doc L arrived, and put Moose in the chair. We had brought Doggie with us, you can see the brown fur under the paper napkin thing. The he put some green sunglasses on Moose to shield his eyes from the bright light.

Moose sat with his mouth open the whole time like a little bird. Pretty funny.
So Doc L did a quick inspection, noted that the space between his teeth was a good thing, because that could mean no braces in the future. (I had braces) Then he proceeded to clean Moose’s teeth with the little cleaner. I was shocked Moose did so well, I was prepared to hold him down and get my fingers bitten.
Apparently we won’t be able to tell if Moose has the teeth problems I had when I was younger until they do x-rays which I think he said they would do at six-years-old (if I remember right). I was born without two of my teeth, and only three wisdom teeth, and ended up having to have teeth pulled and braces for two years. No biggie really, and I have wonderfully straight teeth now.
My Dad called them my million dollar smile.
All in all a great, informative visit, and Moose is ready to go back because we ended with the Treasure Chest where he got to pick out some cool little toys.

Be... erm, nice. My fragile ego can't take too much honesty. Seriously though, I do love comments. Please tell me what you think!
