We took Wesley to the Pumpkin Patch today. My Dad and Mark came along, which I was SO happy about. We had such a great time, and I hope it's just the first in a long line of family outings.
Of course as soon as we got there, our immediate priority was eating. Of COURSE. So Wes enjoyed a nice bottle while we ate pulled pork sandwiches, and fresh squeezed lemonade.
Totally uninterested in picking out pumpkins. To be fair, there was quite a bit going on around us. The pumpkin patch had a petting zoo, and camel and pony rides, all of which we decided Wes was too young to appreciate. We thought next year would be best for those firsts. "Well, maybe these big orange things are too bad..."
"This one! I want this one!"
As soon as we got home, I put them out on our front step, next to the great Halloween lights I picked out last year (in an after-Halloween sale, I'm so thrifty) and some other Halloween decorations.
We're planning on carving them in about two weeks, so after that, I'll take some pictures with
Wes on the front steps.
Love to all, wish me luck on my surgery tomorrow.

Be... erm, nice. My fragile ego can't take too much honesty. Seriously though, I do love comments. Please tell me what you think!
