We’ve had a busy Friday, and it’s just the start to the weekend!
This morning we got up at our normal time, and went over to the ER to have our stitches removed. We got there at 7:30, and were immediately ushered back. Mental Note: good time to injure self=crack of dawn.
I have been talking up the stitches removal for the last two days, getting him ready for someone to be messing with his boo-boo. We started off in the nurse’s chair, with her trying to cut them out, but ended up laying in one of the ER rooms on the bed with me holding him down. It wasn’t nearly as bad as the original stitches incident, but it was not fun by any stretch of the imagination.
That done, we visited BK for some cinnimini’s and coffee. Because school was out here today, for conferences and stuff (I guess) there was a ton of kids there. We had a good time talking to people and sharing our plans for the day. One group even said going to the apple orchard sounded like a blast, and they might see us there!
After breakfast we headed off to daycare, to meet up with our friends. About half the class came, the other half stayed home with their parents for the day.
I haven’t been to the Apple Orchard with a school group, since I was, you know, in school, so this was a big difference. We were shown into a barn and given a small presentation all about apples and pumpkins, then they ushered us onto a hayride. The tractor pulled us all over the farm, showing us the raspberries, apples, corn, pumpkins, and grapes. Moose was very excited about the tractor and told his friend J all about his grandpa who has cows and a tractor and a barn. Moose and I both really enjoyed it. Plus I made friends with one of the other moms. That is always nice, to have a buddy or two.
After the hayride tour, we went to the petting farm, which is nice that it was part of the price, however it is not super great and I wouldn’t pay extra for it or anything.
When we had our fill of watching goats and sheep, we went off to the picnic area to have lunch. The teachers got the kids under control, got them set and fed, while me and the other parents went to grab our own lunches. It was great!
Moose fell asleep on the way home, and I put him straight down for a nap when we got to the house, and I took one too! It was an exhausting day! See the pictures from the day right here in my albums section.

We have big plans for the weekend, we are meeting friends for pizza and beer at Old Chicago tonight, then tomorrow a friend of ours is having a birthday party for his son at Gatti Town. A little old for Moose, but we will go and check it out. Later Saturday evening I am meeting Mrs. Who at Jenn’s house for a custom color make over in Mary Kay. Should be a nice evening filled with gossip, wine and make up.
Also: my cousin Bio Girl has some great news over at her site, please go visit and leave her a nice comment:)

Be... erm, nice. My fragile ego can't take too much honesty. Seriously though, I do love comments. Please tell me what you think!
