We held Moose's first birthday party this weekend, being that his actual birthday day, is in the middle of the week. Cory's family was able to come down for the special event, so we were all there!
Here is the special quilt hanging that my mother-in-law made for Moose.
It's so cute, and we'll be able to use it every year!
Moose wasn't too interested in opening the gifts, he was more interested in the tissue paper, so I helped him out. We got a huge haul of gifts, we definitely need the new house now! We actually had a couple come and view the house during the party! (we held the party at Mimi's house, due to the volume of people coming!)

I decided to do a Baby Einstein themed party, because that's the only thing I know that Moose truely loves! So I left work early on Friday to come home and bake this cake!

BigC's birthday was actually just a few weeks ago, and since it was the same day as Sarah's wedding rehearsal, we exchanged a few gifts for him too!

New toys EVERYWHERE!
The party was a success, and I was worried about Moose being fussy, but he was an angel. He even went down without complaint for a nap at the end of the party. (deep sigh of relief) After the party, Cory and I went home, and spent a few hours taking everything out of the boxes. Dear Lord, they are securely boxed. Moose had a good time playing with everything. He went to bed early, and we hung out with Cory's family until they went back to the hotel.

Happy Birthday!!! It has been such a pleasure being part of your life. I can't beleive it has been a year. He started off as such a little peanut and look at him now.
What a perfect party with all the people who love him there. He is a lucky little boy - and we are so lucky to have him. You are so talented to make such a darling cake and plan everything. I can't believe it has been a year since he was in the NICU. Time slips by so quickly, but I think we are enjoying every minute!!
