Famous Last Words...

Cory: Honey, you shouldn't put up all those Christmas decorations, because you'll just have to take them down if we sell the house.

Me: Taking into consideration the, like, four or five people that have come to see our house, I don't think that's going to be a problem. Besides, we probably won't sell it till Spring now anyway, it's so late in the season.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS.

Apparently that was all it took, because we have now received an offer on the house.
Last Saturday, we got a call that someone wanted to see the house. Conveniently, we already had plans to go get a haircut I think, so it worked out fine. We didn't hear anything for a week or so, then on Saturday, Marty called and said that the couple wanted to see the house again! So we spiffed up the house and headed off to M&Ds for lunch. Then we anxiously awaited a phone call from Charing & Marty, our Realtors.
We didn't hear anything until this morning. And we got some odd news.
They are interested in the house. They also want my furniture. Yes, that's right. I'll let that soak in a moment.
Hmmmm. Okay.
They want my coffee table and end tables, couch, love seat, and chair. They also want my kitchen appliances, fridge, washer and dryer. They asked if we were willing to let those go with the house.
At first, I was very confused. My furniture? Really? That's weird. But it does look nice, I guess. Maybe they think that I am such a fabulous decorator, they just must have my furniture. I am going to go with that thought, because anything else is just creepy. You know? Weird.
So, they made an offer. A ridiculous offer, that we have now counter-offered. If they take it, it will give us enough profit to replace our lost furniture and appliances. So it could work out wonderfully.
Unfortunately, time is getting a little close to Cory's scheduled knee surgery. (first my gall bladder, then Moose's tubes, now Cory's knee? I know!) So Cory will be down for three months is the only difference. We need this worked out, and finished by then. We're also getting a little close to our Wisconsin Christmas trip.
So keep your fingers crossed that they accept our counter-offer. I'll keep you updated!

Moose has started to TRY to stand, here I caught him starting to step up...

He also decided the coffee table is chewable. NOOO!

I just thought everyone should know that the person buying the house loved the decorating so much that he put in the contract that the STAINED GLASS WINDOW must stay!

Be... erm, nice. My fragile ego can't take too much honesty. Seriously though, I do love comments. Please tell me what you think!
