Wisconsin Trip Part 1-The Drive

Well, as most of you know, we ventured to the Cheese State this last Memorial Weekend. Friday afternoon I left work early to go pick up Wesley from his last day at daycare for the Summer. His teachers were very sad to see him go. So we headed home to finish packing and get on the road. We picked Sarah and Jennifer up and we were on our way! Wesley stared as if he was confused with people being in the back seat with him for quite a while. We really thought he would fall asleep! He normally does, but Jennifer and Sarah's beauty must have kept his attention because he spent most of the car trip wide awake and staring at them!
Cory drove the whole way. (he likes to be in charge!) And we were fine with that. We expected a lot of traffic but there wasn't really too much. Wes added on two more hours to our normal eight hour trip. We had to stop two times to feed him, so we just ate then too. I got a little glimpse of how it would be to have a nanny to follow you around, because Jenn and Sarah basically took care of Wes! This whole weekend was very beneficial considering Jenn will be watching Wes for the Summer!
Wes's entertainment included Aunt Boo and Aunt Sarah making Stripes the Zebra dance around and talk to him. He was very excited about it. Luckily, I caught a video with my camera without them knowing I was taping them! Click HERE to see that. Wow, I didn't realize Stripes talked like that. PS-what sound does a giraffe make? They didn't quite know how to make Giraffe talk!
We arrived in Wisconsin at the farm around 2 AM. We layed Wes down in the Pack&Play and he went right back to sleep. Sarah and Jenn stayed in Carissa's room in the attic. Alice set up the inflatable mattress for them to sleep on. Unfortunately, it had a leak and they woke up the next morning completely flat on the floor! I went up to wake them up and they were each stretched out straight and flat as a board! We got up Saturday morning and got cleaned up. Then we headed off to meet my parents for breakfast. M&D flew up to Madison, Wisconsin on Friday night. They stayed in a really cool hotel (I think it's called the Edgewater) then they drove to meet up with us in Monroe. We all planned to eat at the Country Kitchen (Bitchin' Kitchen according to Cory!) ...part 2 will continue our story tomorrow with lots more pics!

I LOVE the video! Sarah is excellent at making toys talk and move. She had to give me a mini-lesson!! The ride up was great! You might think we'd run out of things to talk about after 10 hours but that was not problem for us!! We even filled the entire trip home with conversation! Wes was WONDERFUL!!!

Be... erm, nice. My fragile ego can't take too much honesty. Seriously though, I do love comments. Please tell me what you think!
